| Community Programs
The Mississippi Museum of Art strives to continue learning for our children beyond the classroom with enriching and exciting activities after school hours. Below are several examples of programs we offer... Spring Break Art Camp Annual Spring Break Art Camp- Students from pre-selected, participating local schools attend an all day camp for the week of Spring Break, working as "Artists in Residence" alongside a studio artist. Studio artist for 2006 was Robin Whitfield, with Assistant Daniel Cook. Participating schools included Lanier High School, Murrah High School, Jim Hill High School and Callaway High School.
Please note: Students for this program are chosen by the Jackson Public Schools and the Mississippi Museum of Art. You may not sign your children up for our Spring Break Art Camps. You may, however, send your kids to our Kaleidoscope Summer Art Camp.

21st Century
21st Century is an after-school Art Lesson Partnership with Jackson Public Schools. Funded by a Federal Grant, 21st Century Community Learning Centers provide enriching after-school environments for students. The art instruction program is designed to provide a broad context for cross-curricular learning in a studio environment.
Participating Schools this year are: Rowan Junior High School (Wednesdays) Brown Elementary School (Thursdays)
Mississippi Museum of Art instructors are Amanda Bradford & Ginger Williams.
CYCLE Changing Your Creative Learning Environment
The Mississippi Museum of Art, in partnership with the Jackson Zoo and the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, created this after-school program where students are provided a range of safe and enriching learning environments that further their academic and social growth, while at the same time reinforcing state and local school curriculum. Students spend three weeks at each of the three locations. This program is currently only open to select Rowan Middle School students. Mississippi Museum of Art Studio Instructors are Amanda Bradford and Ginger Williams.
