An installment of Artful Storytelling K-12 Writing Workshops | The Mississippi Museum of Art’s education department presents this writing workshop designed as a way for K-12 students to explore ideas of place, memory, and identity and to respond creatively to these ideas through their writing. Using works of art currently on display in the Museum’s bicentennial exhibition, this intensive workshop features strategies for using works of art as catalysts for creative writing and is facilitated by a range of Mississippi-based authors and educators. A culminating public program will feature writing by students who participate in both writing workshops. (Session I)
This workshop is free, but registration is required. To register, contact Director of School Programs Isabel Gray at email@example.com or 601.965.9909.
The Artful Storytelling Writing Workshop Series is made possible through a generous grant from the AT&T Foundation.
