Ages: Families with children 6-10
Each second Sunday, families with children ages 6-10 are led by a Museum educator in a collaborative art project inspired by a different artist each month. Families are guided in conversations around works by the selected artist followed by related studio projects in the classroom. Families will not only leave with an art work, but will learn techniques they can repeat and expand on at home. This month, we will investigate colorful artworks by James Seawright and Terry Weldon from the Museum’s collection. In the studio, students will create vibrant collages that utilize color and light, like stained glass, to describe emotions and stories. Both caregivers and children are invited to participate. Cost: $10 per child. Questions? Contact William R. Hollingsworth Fellow Adam Farcus firstname.lastname@example.org. Register here.
