Experience an otherworldly pop up exhibition of a new body of work by Jackson artists Eli Childers and Imani Khayyam. The collaboration began when Childers transformed live models into mythic creatures with full body paint; Khayyam then documented the models to create a photographic final product that will be unveiled at the Museum for the very first time. Live music, pop up ‘sipp Sourced dining with Chef Nick Wallace, an outdoor Screen on the Green movie, and more complete this evening of adventure.
Every third Thursday we host Museum After Hours, when we open the doors after hours to partner with and embrace Mississippi's creative community. These family-friendly events feature one-night pop up exhibitions, pop up dining experiences, and combinations of live music, outdoor movies, games, and more. Each month has a new theme and a new story. The Museum Store and exhibition galleries remain open until 8 PM for shopping and exploring. Sponsored by Hertz Investment Group and Capital City Beverages. Cost: Free to the public
