Every third Thursday we host Museum After Hours, when we open the doors after hours to partner with and embrace Mississippi's creative community.
This month, we’re mixing things up with our Art Gumbo theme. A pop up exhibition with artwork from Hoopsnake Press artists will be on view in the Trustmark Grand Hall, while this month’s High Note Jam concert (with the Greater Jackson Arts Council) features Seth Powers and the Part-Timers on the C-Spire Stage at 6 PM. A fall-themed mixed media art activity will take place in the BancorpSouth Classroom before the night rounds out with a Screen on the Green showing of the Marx Bros classic, Duck Soup at 7:30 PM.
The Museum Store with be open late for holiday shopping and the final installment of our Highlight of the Collection series, etchings by Rembrandt, will be on view.
Museum After Hours is sponsored by Hertz Investment Group and Capital City Beverages. This event is free and open to the public. Cash bar and food available for purchase.
