Every third Thursday we host Museum After Hours, when we open the doors after hours to partner with and embrace Mississippi's creative community.
This month, some of Mississippi’s finest show what they’re made of in a pop up exhibition inspired by Laurin Stennis’ proposed new Mississippi state flag design. Stennis has invited artists to interpret her design, in their chosen medium, and we will display the results in the Trustmark Grand Hall. While guests take in the pop up and bicentennial exhibitions, dine on cuisine prepared by the Museum culinary staff, and finish their holiday shopping in The Museum Store (freshly stocked with many items made right here in Mississippi), jazz vocalist Pam Confer will provide the perfect soundtrack for a festive winter evening.
Sponsored by Hertz Investment Group and Capital City Beverages. This event is free and open to the public.
