Artful Storytelling K-12 Writing Workshop Series
The Mississippi Museum of Art’s education department presents this series of writing workshops designed as a way for K-12 students and teachers to explore ideas of place, memory, and identity and to respond creatively to these ideas through their writing. Using works of art currently on display in the Museum’s bicentennial exhibition, these intensive workshops feature strategies for using works of art as catalysts for creative writing and are facilitated by a range of Mississippi-based authors and educators. A culminating public program will feature writing by students who participate in the workshops.
