Take an intimate tour of the artistic process, meet renowned artists, and explore the best of regional contemporary art, wherever it may be!
The Mississippi Museum of Art’s Collectors Club supports new collectors and stimulates interest in contemporary art. Members meet monthly at artists’ studios, collectors’ homes, or at the Museum for guided tours. Out-of-town trips provide opportunities for collectors to visit galleries, museums and artists’ studios in a particular city. Anyone can be a member! The club is for Museum members who love art and want to learn to care for it and for those who want to meet artists, see their studios and be the first to see their new work. There is a membership fee of $45 for an individual or $80 for a dual membership. The membership fee is renewable each year by September 30. A Museum membership is also required to join the Collectors Club.

Collectors Club History
The Mississippi Museum of Art’s Collectors Club began in 2005 out of the desire of local collectors (lead by Museum member Steven Chevalier) and Museum staff for a way to support new collectors, to stimulate interest in contemporary art, and to involve both new and experienced collectors in the Museum. At the initial meeting, we met informally to talk with collectors about what they wanted. Since then, we remain open to suggestions regarding meetings and the Collectors Club in general. The format is informal and varies depending on where it takes place and what we do. Usually, each meeting lasts about an hour and a half and there is time to talk with other members while having refreshments. The meetings are small, and it’s easy to ask questions and to initiate a discussion. We meet at least ten times each year and offer a variety of programs and opportunities including arts related trips out of state. The club continues to be for Museum members who love art and want to learn to care for it and for those who want to meet artists, see their studios and be the first to see their new work.
