Do you know a student with a passion for art and museums? Encourage them to apply for the 2019-2020 Teen Council!
The Museum is seeking a group of highly motivated high school students for its Teen Council. Over the course of the fall semester, the group will meet and work with Museum staff to help shape the direction of how the Museum engages with young audiences. Participants will learn about the collection, explore local arts-focused events and venues, meet artists and creative professionals, and plan every element of the Museum’s Teen Night, all while forming relationships with other like-minded teens in the Jackson-Metro Area. This is a fun and exciting opportunity for arts-enthusiasts who are seeking to gain leadership and project-management experience, all while working with museum employees in a professional setting. The program is open to students enrolled in grades 9-12 for the 2019-2020 school year.
To apply, students must fill out the application and submit it via email, mail, or in-person at the Museum’s Visitor Services desk.
