Free screening of "Dixieland" and roundtable talk with the film's writer and director, Hank Bedford, and other Mississippi filmmakers.
Two star-crossed lovers - a recently released ex-con and an aspiring stripper - struggle to escape their dead-end town for a better life.
Filmed on location in Jackson and Pearl, Mississippi, and starring Faith Hill, Chris Zylka, and Riley Keough, "Dixieland" was released by IFC Films in 2015. The film was selected to play in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival, Deauville American Film Festival, and The Oldenburg International Film Festival. It also screened at the Mons International Love Film Festival in Belgium, and at SCAD’s Savannah Film Festival.
