Every third Thursday, the Museum opens its doors after hours to partner with and embrace Mississippi's creative community. These collaborations feature one-night pop-up exhibitions, along with combinations of art-making, live music, outdoor movies, art making, and games.
This month, get a front row seat for the creative process at #ARTBATTLEMMA!, a live competitive painting event. Local artists respond to prompts and speedily create works of art across four timed rounds, and YOU get to choose the winner of the night's cash prize. Artworks created will be available for purchase the following Saturday in The Museum Store, with artists receiving 70% of the sale!
While the battle rages to the sounds of DJ Pretty Ricky, guests can take the Minute-To-Win-It Art Lab Challenge, sample free bites from Johnny T's Bistro, enjoy a dance performance by Force Fields, and let gallery guru Bill take them on a 15-minute Art Ramble through VISUAL VOICES. Got kids? We've got just the spot for them to hang out with books, games, bean bags, and more!
