Museum After Hours | Garden Daze

Thursday, April 18, 2019

5:30-10 PM

***Due to inclement and possibly dangerous weather conditions, Museum After Hours "Garden Daze" has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our visitors and event partners is our number one priority.***

Every third Thursday, the Museum opens its doors after hours to partner with and embrace Mississippi's creative community. These collaborations feature one-night pop-up exhibitions, along with combinations of art-making, live music, outdoor movies, art making, and games.

This month, art is in bloom at the Museum, inside and out, as the Garden Club of Jackson and the Springlake Garden Club of Pearl show off their floral masterpieces, while the Millsaps College printmaking class leads a collaborative woodcut project in The Art Garden. Need more art-making? Grab a canvas from the Art Lab station and stake out your spot. Take in the contemporary dance performance “Springtide” by Kinetic Etchings Dance Project, enjoy live music by TB Ledford and the Accumulators, and shop The Museum Store's Plant Sale, before settling for the first Screen on the Green of the season: A Bug's Life in our Yates Room.

FOOD & DRINK
Cash bar* and food available for purchase from La Brioche at the Museum and food truck T&M Dogs in The Art Garden. *Free drink ticket for members and those who join during Museum After Hours.
