Hunger Free Jackson

"The Hunger-Free Jackson coalition was founded in 2014 with the aim to raise awareness of hunger in Jackson, Mississippi and find community-based solutions to end it. Social service providers, state health officials, farmers, researchers, and other advocates came together to leverage the power of collaboration to address the serious – and often invisible – issue of hunger in our community. Together, we believe our individual efforts and unique perspectives will create a strong, unified voice to influence positive social change in the fight against hunger in Jackson.By collaborating and building a partnership with community organizations, we believe the coalition can create innovative solutions to address hunger in the community. Additionally, we belief the community needs to be a part of this movement to end hunger."
