Art & Coffee is an opportunity to gather and connect over the shared love of art. The pressures of modern living often distract us from the beauty that surrounds us. Art & Coffee is a moment to pause and savor the beauty of a work with a community of art appreciators and enthusiasts. Each month we will feature a speaker that is contributing to Jackson’s cultural ecosystem. Please join us on the second Saturday of each month at 10 AM.

The Teen Council at the Mississippi Museum of Art is a group of motivated and inspired teens who work collaboratively on creating a positive space in the Museum. Teen Council creates a pathway for young people to be a visible presence and voice within the Museum as well as the larger community. The Teen Council creates programs for teens, by teens, and is committed and excited to continue growing the Museum’s engagement with young people.

The Teen Council is committed to:

• Discovering and creating ways to be a voice and presence at MMA and within the larger community
• Creating a platform to elevate teen voices at MMA
• Engaging a wider range of area teens in programs and events at MMA
• Learning about MMA and enjoying the space
• Promoting MMA and reaching out to teens all over the city and state
