Artist Look Tour | Ke Francis

Join New Symphony of Time featured artist and Tupelo, Mississippi, based artist Ke Francis for a tour of our permanent collection galleries. In this program, Francis will share his thoughts of select artwork in the galleries, including his own work, Dixie Compass (2004) and Untitled, From the Tornado Series (not dated).

Ke Francis is a narrative artist/writer. He and his wife, Mary, live in Tupelo, MS. His work has been exhibited in major national and international museums over a career that has spanned fifty-six years. He is the founder of HOOPSNAKE PRESS and currently publishes his own limited edition artists books as well as collaborative projects with established poets, musicians and visual artists. The Brooks Museum in Memphis, TN. Is currently exhibiting Due South – Ke Francis and Hoopsnake Press (Jan.29- July 3, 2022) selected works from 1992-2021. He is a former Rockefeller Fellow, a winner of the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Visual Art Award, a Southern Arts Federation Grant in Sculpture, and recipient of the Susan B. Herron Award for Literary Art. His works are included in the Mississippi Museum of Art, The National Gallery of Art, The Getty Museum, The Boston Museum of Fine Art, and 20 other major museum collections
