Join our trained gallery educators for a guided tour of the special exhibition Photography and the Black Arts Movement, 1955-1985. Each discussion-based tour will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with exhibition themes and learn about select works of art. Tour included with cost of admission.
Spend an afternoon with Jackson native and contemporary visual artist Justin Ransburg, a contemporary visual artist based in his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi, whose practice includes illustration, comic books, murals, mixed media, and self published zines. A co founder of the JXN Drawing Club, Ransburg is also an art educator whose work is influenced by comics, manga, pop culture, and storytelling.
