Our next featured maker in the Makers in Their Spaces series is A Plus Signs and Creative owner, Scott Allen. Allen has created work that enhances daily life both locally and nationally as his business produces unique interior and exterior signage, architectural metalwork, custom fabrication, murals, and large format printing. Allen creates artwork that enhances the daily life of the Jackson community, using his talents to bring large-scale work into the metropolitan area.
Makers in Their Spaces is an online program from the Mississippi Museum of Art in which the Museum is connected with a maker to learn more about their practice and how they are drawing inspiration from their space (whether that be physical, emotional, social, or otherwise) during this time. We are so excited to feature Scott Allen, A Plus Signs and Creative owner and fellow Jacksonian. Watch to see Allen’s process of creating during this time of uncertainty and how he has changed his creative space in his workshop and bringing new spaces to the neighborhood of Fondren.
