New JXN performs modern classical music in the galleries of Piercing the Inner Wall: The Art of Dusti Bonge, for this month’s virtual Music in the City performance.

New JXN presents modern classical music with local musicians. Performers include Adam Almeter, trombone; Shellie Kemp, violin; Tyler Kemp, piano; Jason Mathena, percussion; Veronica Parrales, cello; and Benjamin Williams, bassoon. Music by contemporary composers including American composer Philip Glass, Icelandic multi-instrumentalist Ólafur Arnalds, and Jackson’s own David Maloch and Benjamin Williams.

Music in the City is a monthly series presenting live performances of classical and traditional artists and is generously sponsored by St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral.
