The Mississippi Museum of Art (MMA) is offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families this summer, from Armed Forces Day, May 18, 2024, through Labor Day, September 2, 2024, as part of Blue Star Museums.
Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and participating museums nationwide. Throughout the summer, free admission is extended to all currently serving military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve members.
This program is open to all branches of the United States Military—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard—as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps, along with up to five family members.

MMA is delighted to be part of this nationwide initiative to express gratitude to our military families for their service and provide them access to America’s cultural treasures,” shared Andrea Donelson, Associate Director of Communications.

- Members of MMA
- Children ages 5 and under
- The public the first Saturday of every month for Access for All: Free First Saturdays. Generous support is provided by the Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All.
- K-12 students on Tuesdays thanks to Feild Co-Operative Association and Thursdays thanks to Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi
