The Mississippi Museum of Art is seeking a group of dynamic high school students for its Teen Council. Over the course of the academic year, the group will meet and work with MMA staff to help shape the direction of how the Museum engages with young audiences. Participants will learn about the Museum collection, explore local arts-focused events and venues, meet artists and creative professionals, and plan every element of the Museum’s Teen events, all while forming relationships with other like-minded teens in the Jackson-Metro Area. This is a fun and exciting opportunity for arts, history, and culture enthusiasts who seek to gain leadership and project management experience, all while working with Museum employees in a professional setting. The program is open to students enrolled in grades 9-12 for the 2025-2026 school year and will meet every other Tuesday evening from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. The program dates follow the school calendar and consider holidays and other breaks. Applications close September 5.
